Broken or warn out anchor points on any inflatable will have a direct impact on the safety of any inflatable, whether its on a bouncy castle, assault course, slide or bungee run and will result in a safety test failure. All anchors should be manufactured with welded metal rings or triangles at the end and all parts of the anchor must be able to withstand 1600 nm of force (approx. 163kg of weight)
There are several ways an anchor on a bouncy castle or inflatable can fail, the metal end can break which is often down to ware and tare, the pvc can split where the ring or metal triangle is fitted, or the anchor may be pulled from the main body of the inflatable which is more often than not caused by misuse.
Anchor repairs are generally a cheap repair but one of the most safety critical parts of an inflatable, NEVER USE AN INFLATABLE WITH DAMAGED OR MISSING ANCHORS.
Anchor repairs can be done at our premises in Rowley Regis on the outskirts of Birmingham and Dudley or onsite, but it is more cost effective if bought to our premises for repair.
